Synopsis: Five years ago, Olivia Sutherland was wrongfully convicted of plotting to murder her husband. Now she's finally free, Olivia has three goals: repair her relationship with her teenage daughter, clear her name, and bring down her husband – the man who framed her. Just how far is she willing to go to get what she wants? And how far will her husband go to stop her? Because his lies run deeper than Olivia could ever have imagined – and this time it’s not her freedom that’s in jeopardy, but her life…

My Thoughts: I want to first say that I typically love Taylor’s books but this one did not work for me. The premise was intriguing, even if it has been done before, and it even opened up with a bang, but never caught back up to the opening. I could not connect with either of the MCs, as they both were flawed, entitled, and could only see vengeance and revenge, not justice. I believe characters can be flawed, but relatable and I just did not feel that here. I did feel for the daughter, being stuck in the middle without a choice. While fiction can be, and is often, unrealistic, I just felt it was too unrealistic. The book did go pretty fast, there was some highlights. There were twists in the book but the plot was just a little too unrealistic for me. The book wasn’t a bad book, and I am hoping that other readers will enjoy it because Taylor is a vert talented writer.
