how do i wrap up my thoughts on this book.. Perdido Street Station introduced me to the world of weird fantasy and sci-fi. had no idea what i would get into when i first picked it up, and turned out to be a real treat. it was a book which was very rich on storytelling and had an excellent world-building. particularly loved the questions it raised, especially at the end. the entire vibe of the book, horror-y and just plain weird but good, was really well written and played out. the entire plot of the book was incredible; and it almost felt like each chapter could be detailed and having their own little spinoffs. overall, there is nothing quite like this world Miéville created, of steam punk slums and mythological creatures.
