Alice Isn't Dead
by Joseph Fink
Two stars not because I hated it but because there wasn't much to like for me.
I did enjoy the actual road trip parts and the relationship of Keisha and Alice. The writing style that repeated certain scenes was very clever sometimes.
Overall though I couldn't really bring myself to care about the overarching plot. The metaphors felt a bit pretentious and overly simplistic at times. The pacing was almost episodic, which just wasn't for me. Many other small issues.
It's not a bad book, there just weren't a lot of things I liked.
