Poemcrazy is a unique poetry writing handbook that any poet will love for both their reading pleasure and for practicing their craft. Susan Goldsmith Wooldridge's prose and sample poems (her own and others') make this a beautiful enjoyable read on their own. She also throws in unique prompts and exercises to get the creative juices flowing, creating an interactive reading experience. I found myself doing a few of the exercises as I read and even produced one of my favorite poems I've ever written using one of the exercises. This is definitely a book to keep nearby for when you've got writer's block and need a bit of inspiration or a gentle push to write.
