Blackfish City by Sam J. Miller

3.0

For the first 60% or so of this book, I was wildly enthusiastic about it. The world is creative and vibrant, the characters diverse. The corruption and the bigotry and the (well deserved) swipes at America... it was all fascinating and engrossing stuff. Plus I loved all the queer rep! But then a certain event happened and it greatly dampened my enthusiasm. The plot got a little muddled and is a bit convoluted in places overall, and the ending is well... literally a mess. But I still love the world and don’t regret spending time there.
