I feel like there are a lot of romance novels / smut books that advertise themselves as being kinky / BDSM themed... without actually following through on anything particularly taboo. This book is not one of those books. The sex scenes in these are incredible, and they def. stay true to a real dom / sub dynamic. I think they negotiate consent in a really cool way (without being particularly out of world about it) Abigail likes being chased, likes being forced, but it's very clear that she's fully consenting to this, and nothing will happen to her if she says no, it's her decision. Also, the ending is fucking insane. I screamed. I literally screamed. It's midnight right now and I'm trying to decide if I'm going to stay up another couple of hours and finish the series because that's how good it is.
