I'm so upset I read this book. It was inane and seemed to purposefully push buttons without a convincing reason. The story was so convoluted and none of the characters were reliable. Even in stories where there's an unreliable narrator there's usually something or someone who serves as a guiding light. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who truly wants to read this book... I read to the end out of spite and I'm so mad I won't get that time back....
