Love on the Air by Ash London

4.0

Alex left (ran out on) her radio job, fled the country and is quickly running out of savings. With no career and no plan, she is lured back to Australia by a breakfast radio gig of a lifetime, but it comes with some hairs: her arch-nemesis, an old school CEO and an unepexetedly attractive new boss.

Love on the Air is such a fun read. A mix of a rom-com and women's lit, it's funny and fun with a great look into the world of Australian breakfast radio.

Alex is so faithfully herself throughout the entire book, yet has some moments of great self-growth and introspection that really resonates with me in my mid to late 20s. Even if she has expensive taste, her down to earth personality won me over, and maybe won over the heart of her boss too.

I really loved the romance in this too. It felt more natural, with Alex and Leo learning about each other and becoming good friends. Leo ends up being incredibly sweet even if he wasn't always that way to begin with.

A big thank you to Allen & Unwin for an arc of Love on the Air, all opinions are my own!
