Hooked on Murder
by Betty Hechtman
I was embarrassed to read this book on the train...but I did. I needed something mindless...and without love. This book? Was that....the mystery was pretty boring. No exciting cliff hangers, not even a curious search ahead to guess what was happening....it was all blah. blah. blah.
A recently widowed woman finds herself at a murder scene...of course the evil detective (who happens to have a crush on the woman's boyfriend) believes she did it...(even though the proof is lame)...and then she decides to learn how to crochet....and strangely it takes more than an evening to do a granny square (not realistic) and they OH GOD....just a really bad, boring mystery.
I would have dropped it---but I needed something to read.
I do not recommend. Unless you need something to get your mind off other things.
