I've never been (Un)happier
by Shaheen Bhatt
I have never been (un) happier is a book written by Shaheen Bhatt about her experiences of living with depression since she was thirteen.
This was my first book for #nonfictionnovember .
I hope everyone has read this book and if you haven't please don't ignore this book as an attempt of a "Celeb" family trying to be a writer. Because this book is real and as honest as it comes. Her struggles, realisation and accpetance have been described wonderfully.
There's a tendency of "relative misery" when it comes to pain and suffering and there's a chance that people might undermine others suffering on account of appearances but I can't tell you better than what Shaheen tells in the following words
" The assumption is that if you have a happy and comfortable life, you have no cause for, or no right to, the despair you're feeling."
Read this book to understand, irrespective of whether you have or haven't dealt with mental health issues. I totally recommend it. And as for Shaheen as you said in the book to not allow your pain to be wasted, your pain hasn't been wasted at all, it has manifested itself into this wonderful book.
