Skeletons of Society

I wanted to like this more than I did. Like it was good but it had a few things that I find to be annoying and predictable with this entire genre.
I think it's interesting that they were able to box their emotions up when they wanted but failed to do so whenever they needed to. The main character's self talk, which I imagine was supposed to be funny/comedic relief, was absolutely annoying. I also don't get why every book in this genre makes the women out to be bad ass until she meets a man and can't seem to get control of her vagina. Like seriously? You can stab a man but not resist the urge to sleep with one? You're suddenly too weak to manage in a world that you were a respected boss in? Wild. The whole undercover thing wasn't as shocking as I imagine it was supposed to be and every action after that just made me say wtf. Like what the actual hell? Why are we’re giving up our lives for people we barely know? Also- can we stop having sex when shit it hitting the fan? I genuinely don’t understand why this is a thing. Like this, and most other books in this genre had so much potential. It’s so frustrating to see all of this in most of the books in this genre.
