This book was so close to five stars. It was just so dense and so long for really no reason. Also I could not get over the fact that Celie was straight up just DUMB. Like genuinely this girl could not put two and two together to make four. She had two brain cells and they were playing hide and seek. I did enjoy it though despite it being an absolute brick (for a YA book). I will continue on in the series. I’ve seen people saying that the second one will have spice and I hope to God it doesn’t because again, this book is YA. YA books should not have spice in them. I will not be taking questions on that. If you disagree, you’re weird.
