Rosebush by Michele Jaffe

I liked that it was different from the genre, the pacing was good, and the mystery was kept alive throughout the book. Some of the descriptions felt odd to me: blood is not magenta, when I think tangy I don't think apples (that would be tart), etc. It's not really a believable story, but it was interesting. Ollie reminded me of Chuck Bass.
