United: Captured by God's Vision for Diversity by Trillia J. Newbell

4.0

This book is part testimony, part theology, and part challenge. Trillia writes with simple, straightforward language to call the Christian church in America to model the diversity called for in the Bible. She starts with her own experience as a black female in a predominantly white church. She tells about how God gave her a vision to see her church represent the beauty of diversity in the people of God, and why that is important. Then, she ends with a discussion on why pursuing biblical diversity may be difficult, but why it is worth it. This book is a great challenge and encouragement to anyone who desires to see God glorified through bringing people of all nations and ethnicities together in worship and in community. At only 151 pages, it is a quick and simple read that is rich with truth and application.
