The Sense of Wonder by Rachel Carson

5.0

Such a short book, yet it managed to really leave me with Sense of Wonder for the world, and with the wish to pass it forward to my kids. Talking about how to raise the curiosity about everything in the world. And when You take Your kids to the forest, don't stress that You do not know the names of all plants and animals and bugs - but on the contrary - when You look up at the night sky with Your kids, You don't have to know the names of any stars or constellations to enjoy the beauty of it. The same is with forest - take a walk with Your precious ones, and just enjoy the beauty. And another thought about the stars in the night - since people can look at them every night, most of them never do. The simple things and the magic/beauty we tend to miss out JUST BECAUSE, they are always there and available. So we never take time to enjoy them.
