As the prequel to A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, I found this to be pretty good! The muster game/party was thrilling, and I liked seeing Pip with all of her friends. I thought that this provided a sufficient reason as to why Pip Chose to take on the Andie Bell case, and it was nice to see what Pip's life was like before it went haywire. I would say that this wasn't as good as the rest of the series, but I think that is expected with a prequel novella.
