After 5 books in the Cloverleigh Farms series, Melanie Harlow is an insta-buy for me. Her perspectives on contemporary romance and the fact that she chooses all different tropes makes the series entertaining and enjoyable. Some authors fall into the trap of the same trope over and over again, making it feel like we are reading the same book but with different names...not Melanie! This book was similar to Irresistible since it was a Single Dad romance, but the rest of the story was completely different.
I was a bit hesitant due to the age gap initially, but once Dex showed his true colors alone with Winnie, I was hooked! I absolutely devoured this book and could barely put it down. A few moments made me tear up, a few made me giggle out loud, and the relationship Dex had with his family made my heart feel things. The only thing it was missing was a bit more information towards the ending. I would have liked more detail but less epilogue on this one!
