I just didn’t really feel like this series ramped up to its potential. Thé ending was pretty good, but all in all I feel the series was mostly build up, except that build up missed the opportunity to be filled with more interesting dynamics between characters. Honestly, as soon as they introduced Callum in book two, I felt disappointed that the whole series wasn’t about him.

When he died, I almost cried.
