If this is supposed to be unserious, I really enjoyed this. It's a little quirky, very self aware, and reminds me of the off quilter fairy tale retellings I used to read as a kid. Very lovable characters and a good balance of fun/urgency. I wish we had a bit more of a big ending here, but seems like we have to wait to get 3 books out of it.
