In My Dreams I Hold a Knife by Ashley Winstead

3.0

3.5 starts

While this started out and developed into a cliche thriller, I really enjoyed it as an audiobook. It touch on some dark themes and it put the question 'How far are we willing to go in order to get what we want?' and 'What is success for different people?'.

Overall, even though I could see some of the plot twists coming, the characters were interesting and their interactions made this so much more enjoyable.

One thing I wasn't expecting: I really liked the romance in this book. I'm not a huge fan of romance, but for this one I was rooting for it as if I was a teenager.
