I dearly love this book. The storytelling is all-consuming, the world is rich and dark in the present and colorfully complex in the past. The characters are compelling and well-developed. But Tea is one of my favorite main characters and I love the juxtaposition between who she is in the present and the girl she was in the past where most of the story takes place.
