At Home: A Short History of Private Life
by Bill Bryson
informative
fast-paced
This is rather hit and miss for Bryson, with only parts of some chapters truly interesting. The chapters that stuck out for me was the dressing room and bathroom chapters, but everything else felt like overstretching the theme.
I have to say though, as someone from Liverpool it is always fascinating when our history comes up as part of a bigger piece, but that wasn't enough to save the book for me.
