i'm so into the way that this manga is clearly articulating its viewpoint on love and relationships, i don't even 100% agree with the point sakisaka's making but i like that she's clearly put some thought into it
(point of disagreement is i don't necessarily think it's a bad thing to strive to present the best sides of yourself to someone you care for, it's breaking down with ren and mayuka because not sharing their struggles is creating distance but they could still come back from this i think)
(i know they're not gonna because ren's obviously falling for ninako and this doesn't seem like the kinda story that would suggest poly but. in an alternate universe where ren was willing to ask for more of mayuka's time and mayuka was less worried about not being cool and mature enough for him i think they'd make things work and it'd be sweet)
