I really think that Apollo is one of the better characters that Riordan has written. I think my favorite thing about him is that he somehow effortlessly deals with issues that could have been potentially awkward, particularly with gods dealing with their godly children and not always remembering them. I also appreciate that there's no shying away from Apollo's pansexuality.

But, Meg is just a terrible character. I find nothing redeeming about her and I just think she brings down a lot of the story. But I am interested to see where it goes from here.
