Reckless Miles by Claire Kingsley

It took me a minute to finish this book because once again I find myself wondering what is missing in this series. I enjoy it but also feel like everything moves WAY too fast. In all of these books so far (maybe minus book 1), the FMC and MMC are together by like 30% which then makes me wonder what is going to happen in the rest of the book. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t love angst by any means but am also waiting for the other shoe to drop. I read this because Cooper was so entertaining. He is like a golden retriever than became a person. He doesn’t disappoint. He falls first and it’s adorable.

Amelia finds herself stood up on her wedding day at a beautiful winery and wonders what has happened to her life. She thought she was marrying her best friend but realizes she was wrong when she finds out he left her for her cousin. She ends up at a bar next to the hottest guy she has ever seen and wonders aloud if he will take her virginity. She wants to be rid of it in the best way.

Cooper thinks he has died and gone to heaven. He has out on the town like he normally does. Things have been feeling different from him recently though since Chase his sidekick has settled down with his sister. He wonders what that feels like but then remembers how much he loves his life. Then he meets Amelia at the bar. She is stunning. She makes him feel things he normally doesn’t feel in these situations. She offers him her V car and being the gentleman that he is- he takes her back to her hotel and blows her mind…LITERALLY! The best part if he wakes up the next day and wants to hang with her more. He convinces her to stay in town and have a Cooper Moon. Thus the story unfolds.

This is a cute story about two people who are perfectly quirky for each other. They get each other from the jump and find themselves wanting more until Amelia chickens out. She realizes she has jumped out of one relationship right into another. Is this really what she wants in her life? She is going to take some time to figure that out…or is she.

I have debated continuing this series but at this point, I am invested. I want to know what is going to happen to the recluse!
