Evil Has A Name: The Untold Story of the Golden State Killer Investigation
by Paul Holes, Peter McDonnell, Jim Clemente
He shouldn't be given nicknames like East Area Rapist, Golden State Killer or Diamond Knot Killer coz the only word appropriate for him is 'Monster'
Here I was thinking that I've developed sort of a numbness or a mental barrier towards true crime books. But listening to the voices of the real human beings who were deeply affected, whose lives were destroyed and their stories just broke me.
This book stirs such intense feelings inside you. You hear not just the voice but the anger, the frustration and the helplessness too. It took a lot of courage for the victims to talk about what happened.
This book shocks you with the horror that Joseph DeAngelo was but also makes you have a little more faith in humanity. The officers, Paul and Jim did not just sit down and let the cases go cold. And that was admirable! They made it possible for a lot of people to sleep better at night.
I highly recommend this for all those crimejunkies out there
Stay rude, stay safe, stay alive
