For the last book, I gave it 4/5 stars even though it was really a 3.5/5 stars.
This time around, I can't be as generous.
The truth is that I skim read the last 1/3 of the book. All of those lengthy descriptions? Pass. I mostly only read the dialogue. And even sometimes then-- it wasn't enough.
I can't say I'm invested enough to read the last book.
A shame. I wish Clare wasn't so formulaic.
