Obsidian Butterfly by Laurell K. Hamilton

3.5

I rated this book a bit lower because there are some really disturbing things in it, and they weren’t necessary. Anita is off to help Edward “Ted” in New Mexico when a monster is skinning people and leaving them alive. We also meet two other associates of Edward - Olaf and Bernardo. The four of them have a tough case on their hands and face many challenges. Anita has taken a break from dating Richard and Jean-Claude so there is no romance in this book. It’s really a mystery/thriller with many different parts playing in to it. Overall the book was good, I just wish the SA and torture hadn’t been a part of it.
