by Meg Cabot
Meg Cabot used to be an auto buy author for me. I liked her middle grade, YA and adult books, especially the Princess Diaries, the Queen of Babble and the Heather Wells series. I still adore her as a person and follow her on FB. But her newer books no longer do it for me. I don‘t find them as funny and engaging.
This was a nice story about nice people living through a hurricane. If you want to know how to prepare for a hurricane, then this is the book for you. Also it is really lovely to read about the community spirit.
The heroine finds the perfect man, hesitates for a while until finally realizing that there is actually no good reason to hold back.
There are many cute pets, adorable teenagers, lovely friends and lovable if sometimes annoying family members.
The issues the heroine struggles with are very real, it is great how she finally deals with them and how her new boyfriend supports her. They now have the perfect life and will be happy forever.
So why only the three stars? Because throughout I was slightly bored. Sorry.
