laurenash 's review for:
Little Girl Lost
by Todd Gold, Drew Barrymore
POPSUGAR's 2016 Reading Challenge: A book written by a celebrity.
"I had fervently hoped for a nice, upbeat ending with no loose ends, like in the movies, an ending that would leave me feeling quite the heroine. I really believed it was what I deserved."
Having read Wildflower and knowing that she's happy and well (now) made this book almost easier to read. She had such a sad, messed up childhood but she survived it with grace and humility. My only complaint is that the dual narration of Todd Gold presenting the situation and Drew writing about it/responding to it felt a little weird and stop-and-goish.
