I had a 4 book boxset, and I'm not a quitter so had to finish it off, but i just never got into this series at all. I've been spoiled with the likes of Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, Skulduggery Pleasant, i expect more from a series now even if it's meant for kids.
Despite the length of these books the characters felt too flat and simple, the dialog never felt good to me and the story in general just never did anything for me. The mysterious Chikarda was a poor ripoff of The Force from Star Wars.
I shouldn't have been surprised as i was less than impressed with the maze runner books too, so i doubt I'll be reading any more from this author.
