♡ I've never read a viking story before, and I'm so glad that this was my first! It was soooo good and I really enjoyed it!!!

♡ I loved the family dynamics, the whole focus on losing family and finding family, and how there isn't one way to define family just about ripped my heart out. The whole thing was so sweet and heartbreaking, ugh my heart.

♡ This was definitely a true enemies to lovers trope. Fiske and Eelyn
Spoiler literally tried to kill each other at first sight.
The transition from enemies to understanding one another to trusting to slowly loving each other was written so well, you could really see that slow shift and it was beautiful. I will say that I was concerned about there being
Spoiler Stockholm syndrome
, but there's a point where they have a conversation about that topic, and Eelyn is quick to clarify that
Spoiler she never belonged to Fiske in that way.
It was a sweet moment and most definitely needed.

♡ I loved Fiske's bonus scene!!
