reading this book sounds like peeking into the narrator's head about what they thought of the event that distress them so. i hear a lot of defensive arguments, all the time, and a little of emphasizing the events in more gradually and continuing terms. they instead kind of telling the events with 16353728 pov and opinions, it just felt like walking in one place as long as 130++ pages (still tiring).

at first i care a lot about the narrator, of how it such an unfortunate, with all the dilemmas happening and all, but as i get in a little more to the book, they turned into a shady and jokster towards the migrants that is unlikely an adult grown-ups way of narrating. i just kinda feel a bit off since that.
