Stranger in the Storm by Patricia McAlexander
5.0
Can’t decide between a fast-paced thriller and a romance for your next read? Then the novella, Stranger in the Storm, is the book for you. Stranger in the Storm is the story of Janet Mitchell, a writer who has left an abusive relationship and is taking time to write and recover emotionally in the foothills of Adirondacks. A Hurricane hits, bringing her together with Wes Corbett with whom she has an immediate attraction. What she doesn’t know is that Wes’ violent twin has escaped from prison and will stop at nothing to remain free. I do not normally read romance, but this book pulled me in with the Adirondack setting (I grew up there.) and the promise of a suspenseful thriller plot. It did not let me down. It was a fun and exciting read, full of twists and turns. Looking forward to more from this author.
