Konsten att städa by Marie Kondo

One star because the book made me want to clean 😆 tdlr: throw out your belongings based on impulsive decusion-making i.e "depending on what sparks joy".   The book is quite repetitive and has quite grand claims that I am not sure hold. The author claims that people are losing weight or have smoother complexion after using her method of declutterind. It is no rocket science that getting rid of unnecessary belongings and clutter can lead to a feeling of peace, but at the same time I am skeptical about how much her method helps because the problem is not about how much we own and throwing it all out, but wild consumerism. I doubt that people who ammased insane amounts of stuff and bought so much in the past will stop buying as much in the future just because of one extreme decluttering session. It is also a bit contradictory in parts. For example she mentions keeping all clothes, including coats and jackets with other clothes and having spaces for things that go together, then saying she has clothes, gold clubs, electronics etc in her wardrobe? Strange. I had to google how a Japanese wardrobe looks like, but seemingly it looks like a normal Ikea pax, I could not imagine storing so many different things in one wardrobe. I did not think the book was life-changing in any way.
