Eternals by Neil Gaiman

1.0

This is one of those books where after the first issue I wonder why I started reading it because now I'll have to finish! I didn't really get the point of it; it's just kind of lame. It also didn't feel very Neil Gaiman to me, although I realise he was working from existing material.

There was not much of interest there for me. A few other Marvel heroes crop up (Iron Man, Yellow Jacket and Wasp) but they don't get involved and it seems mainly just an acknowledgment this is meant to be the same universe. None of these characters were interesting, they're nothing more than cardboard cut outs.. if anything I found them a bit overpowered (they're essentially Gods) and with a confusing mythology.

Plus the artwork was seriously off putting. Ugly even.

I've finished it. I got to the end. Now I can read something better!
