It was written by a teenager, and you can tell. It has some quatoble phrases, but I didn't really enjoy it as much. It reads kind of slow, the protagonist is flavourless, I understand it portrays depression, and it is not wrong... in portrying one kind of depression. Honestly, I would rather read the anger management issues of Michael Holden. Tori is not a very compelling character, she has her moments, she is definitely caring, and the book is very realistic by showing the entitlement of teenagers and how they feel like they are the best people in the world and everyone else is horrible in comparison. The peripheral characters read better, although all of them are annoying teenagers, without exception.

I think Alice Osman became much better in her later works, this book reads like pick me girl, the angst edition. At least it is well written, little to no cringe slang.
