A dark read for sure
I don’t know how I found this book but I did and decided to read it. Damn this is dark. There is no happy here, Rainey Summer Day’s life sucks. I can honestly say I cried a couple of times reading this book. The subject matter is hard to read. To watch a woman give up her self worth...
I am not going to spoil anything because I think it’s best to go in with an open mind. But know this, there is drug use, discussions of sexual assault as a child, questionable consent, and abuse. This is a tough story to read....but it evoked emotions and kept me reading because I was never sure where the book was going.
