Pandora's Jar: Women in the Greek Myths
by Natalie Haynes
challenging
informative
fast-paced
My initial thoughts were of disappointment, as I quickly realized this was a non-fiction account of women in myths, rather than retellings/reimaginings of their stories... My attitude almost immediately changed however with how incredibly well this was written and realizing what I've been missing the whole time.
Every chapter was about a different woman in mythology, and after every chapter I thought, THIS, THIS is my new favorite woman, again and again.
Turns out, they're all my favorite.
