Taken by N. Isabelle Blanco, Elena M. Reyes
4.0
Taken is the first novella in the Voyeur series by N. Isabelle Blanco and Elena M. Reyes. I had never read anything by these two authors before, but once I read the blurb, I was sold! It sounded like just the kind of dark, depraved story I love to read. More twisted than I imagined, intense, bloody, and intriguing, it definitely did not disappoint!
Two people are kidnapped from their homes and wake up in a luxurious room drugged and scantily clad where they are ordered around by a disembodied voice coming through speakers in the walls. There is no doors and seemingly no way out. Blood is seeping from under one of the walls, and every so often they hear moans and screaming coming from somewhere beyond the room which just serves as a source of more anxiety.
Ivy and Noah are best friends, and while having each other is their only source of comfort, that fact is used against them. The person behind this sick scenario threatens each of their lives if they don’t comply with all of their demands most of which are sexual in nature. No matter what they want, it’s becomes clear that they are going to have to either have sex and perform other sexual acts with an audience or be tortured and die!
Taken is one hell of a novella! The story enraptured me right away, kept me captivated throughout, and the end left me practically salivating for more! My imagination was running as wild as Ivy and Noah’s the whole time I was reading. I wanted to know who was behind this perverted little plan, why they targeted our two main characters, and what the reason was behind it all. There is a big cliffhanger at the end of the book, so if you don’t like that, pass this one on by! My friend described it as leading someone to climax, but then stopping just as you are about to orgasm, and I couldn’t have put it any better myself! Lucky for me, I enjoy a little deprivation now and again. It makes the payoff so much sweeter! If you like your stories deliciously disturbing, dirty, and addictive, and cliffhangers that drive you mad with anticipation aren’t a deal breaker for you, I recommend this one to you!!
