What an ending. I stared at the wall for a while after reading this final installment of The Poppy War series and I'm still not sure how to formulate proper thoughts about it.
The character arcs, the intrigue of how things would play out, the historical aspects, all of it worked incredibly well for me. It's certainly not a series for the faint of heart, it is a series for those who want a different story from the common trope of "the chosen one" and all that entails.
The whole series is incredible, read it, and suffer a bit... it's certainly spoiled me for other fantasy series though!
