I would like to thank GRR for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
Ok I really enjoyed this first installment in the Bratva's Undoing series! Gianni Holmes' narrative is sometimes a hit or miss for me, but oh my wow yes Bratva's Intern was definitely a winner this time around! This wasn't as gritty and grimy as Holmes' MC stuff, but the narrative style and pacing were smoother than ever and i thought this had great, shiny-gangsta energy!
I was hooked from the prologue and i loved this all the way through! The characters were all yummy, funny and thoroughly engaging, especially bestie Jess! I love it when everyone contributes to the fun!
The Morozov empire (both the legit and the sketchy), and of course the man himself, were all kinds of sexy dangerous and intriguing. That showcase of wealth had some real shine to it that had me swooning for that pretty-woman sh!t like fr. And then there was Wren. An adorable, squirmy, super low self-esteem babe who I adored from the start.
Like just LOOK at that cover!!! Who wouldn't be soft for this sweetling and those curls?!?!? Boi made a damn monster melt from Chapter 1, and it was very easy to see why Maxim fell as hard as he did.
This installment read like a mellow launch into the Russian mob world, not super focused on the stabby stuff and laying down some nuanced tension while building up palpable animosity that is sure to light up Book 2 in this series!
Happy to have enjoyed Bratva's Intern as much as i did, and very much looking forward to Wren and Maxim's HEA wrap in Bratva's Vow and everything else still to come in Bratva's Mercy! Eeeee squealing already!!!! Can't wait!
