I really resisted reading this book because, well, Twilight. I was definitely not expecting to be pulled into the story.

Unexpectedly enjoyable. A fun science-fiction story with liberal doses of romance. Or should I say a nice fun romance story with sci-fi themes interwoven? There's not enough sci-fi elements to justify this is a legitimate sci-fi book. Most of the fascinating sci-fi themes in this book are treated very superficially and there's not much in-depth look at these aspects of the story.

A rather melodramatic finale, but you know what? It worked for me. I was rooting for Wanderer from the moment she entered the desert.

Setting aside my initial bias due to my dislike of Twilight, this story isn't too bad. Just enjoy the book as a lighthearted romantic romp into sci-fi land.
