Mrs. Nash's Ashes
by Sarah Adler
I picked this book up on a whim at the airport, and I read it in one day. I am absolutely in love with this book. I laughed. I cried. I really thought about everything and I would recommend this to anybody who loves a touch of romance while still trying to find yourself and connect with a dueling love story that was decades apart.
At first, I didn’t quite understand Millicent and I didn’t really love her being kind of childish in a little bit wild, but paired with Hollis and his I don’t like anyone attitude just ended up feeling so well together. The road trip journey, the more that they spend time together and how much they fit just melted my heart.
I am absolutely a sucker when you find out that the man has always known the girl and always had a feeling for her, especially when he is willing to admit it out loud. I will say the part where you hit the betrayal scared me at first, but it was over before I could even register that I was so happy.
