Life is overwhelming and full of pressure and pain and sadness and expectation and disappointment. Who can really say what the purpose of it all is? For Veronika, it is all a struggle. A struggle she harshly goes through as conveyed by the deeply personal and moving words of Paulo Coelho, who's own life inspired this story. I couldn't help but relate to many of Veronika's thoughts and the twist at the end of the novel was something I suspected but was still surprised by at the end.
Life isn't easy, but there are good things: love, family, music, nature, bliss. Sometimes it takes time to see the whole picture.
