Seeking Persephone: A Novel
by Sarah M. Eden
I have read this book innumerable times now. Sometimes I read from the beginning to the end, sometimes just the parts that gave me goosebumps. Nevertheless, it affects me the same way it did when I first read it. Just like many other books that take inspiration from the Greek legend revolving around Hades and Persephone, this book also has certain elements. And is still very different in its own way.
I loved how there was no instant attraction between the leads. How they developed their feelings for each other was written very well. You could feel the chemistry between them.
Other than that, the ending of the book was great as well. It seemed like an open ending- like there could be more than that. But I think it was perfect how the author didn't lengthen it and preserved the essence of the story.
All in all, I would recommend this book to everybody reading this review! Happy reading!
