This is the first book by this author, and I liked it... I know there is more to the story, given it's a cross over romance but that didn't mean the book lacked for anything. It most certainly did not lack anything. But it has me wanting to go and read the rest of these books that cross over into this world. The level of alpha feel to this book was off the charts. I am a sucker for a good alpha male, and this author sure as hell knows how to write them.
Dominic's life is anything but normal. Working alongside his father made it dangerous... He had always had a thing for his sister's best friend,... Actually a little more than a thing. He loves her, and he doesn't want to bring her into the messy world that was his life. It was never the right time But once his father is no longer around, and things started to change for him and his family in this dark mafia world.
Faith has always loved the forbidden, her best friend's brother. She was always intrigued by everything but things never when further than in her head, and life went on and she went on to marry someone else, who turns out to be a complete a**hole. They didn't last... But it has her trying to put her life back together, and when Dominic invites her to go and stay at his family's hotel. She was not going to pass that up.
These two together were intense. The sexual tension between them was thick as hell. The chemistry too and Faith saw a side of Dominic that not many people saw. A softer side. He's usually a ruthless and dangerous man. It is how he has grown up. But he was always something different when he was around her. He could still bring this woman to her knees with just a glare, but she was never nervous or scared of him.
What unfolds through these pages with have your head spinning, and have you on the tips of your toes flipping page after page. There were many twists and turns throughout this book that I did not see coming. I love it when an author can throw me off track with just one sentence and this author nailed that!
As much as I want to lay this whole book out.
This will not be my last read of the authors' work! I cannot wait to read more of this author's world she has created. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
