This is a somewhat forgettable, but clean, romance novel. It would usually get only 2 stars from me, as I have to agree with other reviewers that the plot seems very convenient. However, the author managed to (mostly) stay in a very convincing historical voice throughout, which makes this a good little book to fill a reading slump or as a palette cleanser between more dense works.
