Scoring a Spouse
by Liz Lincoln
Ironically enough, right before this book I had read a book that had a chronic illness rep and a marriage of convenience done horribly wrong and then I read this book, and this is how it's done!
Main character has rheumatoid arthritis, I'm not sure if it's an #ownvoices rep but the author does a great job in portraying the illness in such detail and going to such great lengths to give the reader a true idea of what people with this disease are going through every single day. It really needs to be congratulated.
The attraction and chemistry between the FMC and MMC were palpable you could feel it coming off the pages, this book was spicyyy!!! It should the different aspects a person with this disease goes through emotionally with not wanting to be a burden, finding out about this disease late in life, having their whole life view shift.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the soccer aspect of it. It was so good to see the behind the scenes view of it, especially coming from someone who knows nothing about soccer or how any of it works seeing it from a female team view was extra special.
Go read this book it's a special one!
