Can't wait for Sins of Empire!
This was a cool little story introducing some characters from the next Powder Mage series Brian McClellan just finished. Not sure yet if this is required back story, but if it's anything like the pre-novellas of the first Powder Mage trilogy, it will have added quite a lot of value.
At the very least, now I'm even more excited for Sins of Empire!
